New mixed level ukulele class
This class is in Walthamstow on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. It's a mixed ability class with sections of the group playing different parts. If you can play a few of the basic chords, this class could be for you. Some sections are learning to finger pick or play solo melody lines, whilst those with less ability strum the chords in the rhythm section.

Saturday 13th Septemebr - WAM @ The Stow Festival The Stow Festival is an annual award-winning music festival established in Walthamstow in 2011 at the Town Square. Over 80 musical acts and performers in 23 different venues across the three festivals.

Dick is currently also working on new projects for the Smiling Sessions (with guitarist Pete Baikie, singer and violinist Alison Jones and banjo player Dick Smith).

TV Theme Tunes Recordings
Dick recorded famous TV theme tunes for a competition to win Mumford and Sons tickets at the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio.
Calgary Folk Music Festival
Dick played at the Calgary Folk Music Festival in 2012 with Lisa Knapp.
Second Trip to Tanzania
In December 2012, Dick travelled to Tanzania a second time.
Charity trip to Tanzania
Dick travelled around Tanzania in 2011 or two weeks in December to play at charity event and perform at local hospitals and schools.
Dick lends his musical talents to the Editors-Razorlight Christmas album
Dick recently did a recording session for Editors lead singer, Tom Smith's Christmas album. Tom is collaborating with Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows on the album.
Dick teaches Marc Warren - the lead in Cool Hand Luke - to play the banjo
Banjo teacher Dick Smith has been coaching Marc Warren for his lead role in the West End production of Cool Hand Luke. Marc is best known for his British television roles as Danny Blue in Hustle, Dougie Raymond in The Vice and Dominic Foy in State of Play. Catch the show from Friday 23rd September to 7th January 2012 at The Aldwych Theatre.

The Stow Festival (29th September - 2nd October)
Dick and other members of the Walthamstow Acoustic Massive curated at The Hornbeam Cafe venue for The Stow Festival. As well as performing with the Massive, Dick also offered an open ukulele workshop for adult beginners at the festival from 2-4pm on Saturday 1st October.
