A professional banjo player and multi-instrumentalist with decades of experience, Dick Smith offers 5-string Bluegrass banjo lessons in London and Margate.

Whether you are in your 20s or 70s, a complete beginner or have some banjo playing experience, you can arrange private one-to-one banjo lessons with Dick or join in one of his group banjo classes in London.
Described as a musician with an ordinary name but with extraordinary skills, Dick Smith has been teaching Bluegrass banjo lessons for more than 20 years.

Private banjo lessons in London

Dick provides 5-String Banjo music lessons to adults of all levels of experience and expertise. Private banjo lessons are an hour and available to book in Walthamstow and Tooting.

Group banjo workshops in London

Dick Smith runs group banjo classes on Tuesday nights in Tooting and Wednesday nights and Walthamstow. From beginners and improvers to intermediate/advanced levels, there are up to ten places in each workshop.

Dick Smith runs one ukulele class in Walthamstow on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. This is an intermediate class of fairly mixed ability, currently working on arrangements with parts played by different sections of the group.
