About one-to-one banjo lessons
Dick provides 5-String Banjo music lessons to adults of all levels of experience and expertise. Private banjo lessons are an hour and available to book in Walthamstow on Wednesdays between 10am and 6.30pm and Borough/Clapham on Tuesdays between 5.30 and 6.30pm .
For beginners and novices
Dick has been teaching 5-String Banjo for over 20 years and has a great deal of experience with getting beginners and novices off the ground. His one-to-one teaching method has proved to be extremely successful with new students. With a "laid-back", but methodical approach, his pupils find that they are making "Banjo sounds" within a short few weeks of taking up the instrument.
For intermediate and more experienced banjo players
Dick also teaches intermediate and higher levels, steering players who may have studied from books, internet or ear to focus on being disciplined with respect to rhythm, accuracy and clarity of tone. Learning any instrument is never easy but enjoyment and fun are paramount whilst studying.
Where and when?
Having recently moved from East London to Margate, Dick is available to take one-to-one banjo lessons in Walthamstow E17 on Wednesdays. One-to-one banjo lessons are only available on Wednesdays between 10am and 6.30pm.
Limited one-to-one lessons are also available Tuesdays at The Trinity SE1 or Clapham SW4 between 5.30 and 6.30pm.
Lessons available in Margate - Thursday to Monday.

- £35 / hour for one off session(s).
- £100 for 3 one-hour sessions (5% discount on standard price).
- £190 for block of 6 one-hour sessions (10% discount on standard price)
Margate
- £30 / hour for one off session(s).
- £85 for 3 one-hour sessions (5% discount on standard price).
- £160 for block of 6 one-hour sessions (10% discount on standard price).
